following on from a series of seaside moderne and poster moderne exhibitions andy tuohy was keen to explore a broader visual vocabulary using the folkestone triennial as a catalyst by which to do this.

he presented a number of posters at the cube gallery that capture his personal reaction to what was happening in the town. the process drew him to produce more eclectic local subjects which led to an evolution of his own illustrative style, by incorporating elements of photo montage.
