on the 14 June 2008, 'this way up' arrows were handed out to the public in folkestone. people were asked to record a personal snap shots of the space they live within. there is a familiarity with streets, corners, benches, objects that have a particular importance to us. there are so many ways of seeing the same thing, it may be somewhere we pass every day, or it could be a place of a specific memory; it may just be something that catches your eye. the personal narratives connected to these places and objects make them important. see the photogallery of their contibutions here. this way up photogallery |
