the folkestone fringe is interested in developing opportunities for collaborative work that utilises public and unconventional spaces for contemporary art practice. our aim is to present multiform interventions that illuminate a site's inherent qualities to both an expectant and unexpectant audience.

current call for entry:
space and significance
sound and visual artists who would be interested in collaborating on 'space and significance' and know a specific site of sonic interest that they would like to work with should contact the fringe now. we are looking for unique spaces that are rich in sonic content. artist responses will be presented in georges house gallery in folkestone in may 2010. artists will also work to produce a joint compositional piece that brings the disparate sites together as one. deadline for submitting sites is 20th Jan 2010.

lighthouses, an international exploration
we are looking for sound and visual artists who are interested in exploring the acoustics of the lighthouse. we want to create an international network of artists interested in collecting, interpreting and exchanging sound and visual samples to create a new piece of experimental sound work. if you are interested in being involved please get in touch with us here.
