A series of transient, site-specific reactions in response to the light and the turning of the earth using organic mediums; chalk from the cliffs, charcoal, burnt wood and cotton thread.
The works encourage the viewer to be consciously aware of the light in Folkestone and as a result, highlight a relationship with it. Works include sundials, a large-scale camera obscura, film and light sculpture.
Studio 8 is an attic space, perfect for perceiving and experiencing light. It will be open to visitors at various times during the Triennial.
