TALE TALES

Matt Rowe | Field Recordings, Documentary Images & Text

Following in the traditions of Cecil Sharp and Alan Lomax, Matt Rowe is trawling local public houses and social clubs around the shepway district and beyond, collecting a series of field recordings, documentary images and texts.
Matt Rowe will then transcribe these ramblings from chance encounters into a hand-bound compendium of regional folklore.

The Tall Tales compendium presents a loose form of social reportage, celebrating localism and exaggerated truths.
