Folkestone Roadshow
Tue 30 Sep - 11.00 - 18.00

Pack your picnic and get your comfy shoes at the ready. We’re off to sunny Folkestone on 30 September 2014 to take a look around the Folkestone Triennial.

This is your chance to get a unique insight into the three yearly event. We’ll be hearing from curator Lewis Biggs as he tells us about the planning, work, opportunities and challenges that go into running one of the most ambitious public art projects presented in the UK.

We’ll be picnicking in the new park deigned by muf for the Triennial (weather permitting) before exploring the Triennal itself.

The day will end with bookable one-to-one advice sessions which are designed to help you improve your online presence. Whether you are wanting advice on using social media, writing for online audiences or some tips on improving your website, we can help.

Come along for a fun day where you can meet other members, gain a great insight into the Triennial and get some advice on improving your online presence.

Tickets cost £10 for Axisweb members and £15 for non-members.

Refreshments are provided and you can buy lunch from the Quarterhouse bar or bring along a picnic to share.

About Folkestone Triennial
Folkestone Triennial takes place every three years and this year artists are invited to consider the theme of ‘the lookout’. Internationally recognised contemporary artists will engage with Folkestone’s rich cultural history and the town’s built environment. They will exhibit newly commissioned work in public spaces around the town.
