Naomi Eaton-Baudains' work is a visualisation of Nature encroaching on the urban-industrial environment, an exploration of the liminal space between interior and exterior, the real and the unreal. Central to this is the interaction between audience, materiality and location; with a subtle use of the displaced she brings new life to the everyday.

“I walk into the gallery. It is more out than it is in. The essence of natural and industrial narratives are right in my face. I cannot get enough of the rain and those frogs, and the smell of the grass, and the trees. It is crawling on me and I am jumping, rolling and dragging my body along. I stop. Breathe in/out. I see earthy materials, forms; they are solid, heavy and expansive.  The multidimensional sculpture embellished with light opens up an engaging relationship between the natural and the manufactured.  And I leave the space with the transparent wing of an insect in my pocket.”
