track: lift music

'lift music' was an attempt to create a sense of the mechanics of the water lifts having their own musical voice, by creating a simple spectral analysis and seeing what might happen if the wheels, cogs and systems inside were replaced with orchestral instruments. despite what appears to be a surface chaos, small fragments of melody gradually rise to the forefront as the piece progresses.
keiran is a london based composer currently studying at goldsmiths. his past works include a series of electronic/ambient pieces which were wrote as a year long project under the moniker of the good war. More recently he completed scores for two short movements for string orchestra and setting william butler yeats' "the black tower" for solo mezzo-soprano and piano.
