my work aims to create an atmosphere and a narrative. often using found material as a starting point, it evokes memories, real and imagined, reframing the past in relation to the present. i am interested in the effects of time on people's lives and the environment and changes in landscape and culture.

with over 100 years of rhythmic life the leas and the cliff lift in folkestone presents a rich tapestry of sounds and material to work with. with this piece, i hope to evoke the feeling of visiting the leas and riding in the lift, linking the past and the present whilst looking toward the future.
