folkestone's beach huts, like all beach huts are a scaled down version of domesticity. Decanted into a functional container for seasonal lifestyle experiences, their unique poistioning as the some of the few urban structures between sitting on the boudary between land and sea make them uncanny yet desired. It is a subliminal zone.
