Independent and lo-fi, the art for all shop pops up once again this August on Folkestones Old High Street. Peddling a hyper-coloured selection box of art, ideas and trinkets by artists from Folkestone and beyond, it’s a mix of established names and those who dance on the periphery of the “art world” .
“True Colours & Trinkets” is about unashamedly being yourself. Unpacking all the colour, quirks, obsessions and cries. Making connections and sharing stories between the artists and the customers through the objects they create and buy. It allows them to invest in each other in a space which is open, inclusive and affordable. The shop as always is curated and cobbled together with an irreverent spirit..
Joyous frivolity, sharp wit, nostalgia, dreams and acute personal perspectives are laid bare. You’ll find everything from paintings, drawings and photography to ceramics, zines, books, jewellery and other curiosities. Prices start from just £1. (Yes you read that right) There is always something for everyone's budget!
