A festival of exhibitions, talks, events and workshops exploring women’s health & diet culture.

#Exhibition #Workshop #Talk

Date: Friday 1 - Sunday 31 August
Open every Friday, Saturday & Sunday
Opening Times: 12:00 - 16:00

Location: Fourth Wall Folkestone, 10-12 The Old High Street, CT20 1RL

Building on the success and appetite for last year's “Sick Of It” festival we are delighted to present “Still Sick Of It” which explores issues around women’s health and diet culture. The programme opens with “The Joy of Fat” by acclaimed artist Mellissa Monsoon. A powerful exhibition that celebrates body diversity and challenges stigma.

Running throughout August, Monsoon’s latest collection of ceramic works embraces and reclaims the word “fat” as a joyful and unapologetic expression of self-love and acceptance. The festival continues through to October with more exhibitions, talks and events.

Fourth Wall Folkestone CIC is a creative space focused on all things art and mental health. It is an informal gallery, open studio and research space. We host events which invite the local community to reimagine the role of art in society as a tool to effect change.

Fourth Wall Folkestone CIC is run by artist researcher Sarah Lloyd - a neurodivergent, self identifying fat woman, with a long term (chronic) invisible condition. It is a space for all neurodivergents (diagnosed/self-diagnosed/questioning). We are anti-racist and LGBTQlA+, feminist, fat, trans and disability positive.
