Holding Space in a Polarised World: Conflict navigation for public creative practice by Dr Giuseppe Maglione

• Date: Monday 23rd (6 hours) + Tuesday 24th February (3 hours) 2026. You MUST be able to attend both days.

• Location: TBC (Folkestone Central)

This year’s Fringe programme brought our focus to and explored the increasing polarity in our communities. We recognised a need for more support and training to help artists and creative producers realise their ideas in a safe, equitable and meaningful way.

In response, we are offering 15 local creatives the opportunity to participate in a 2-day training programme to develop their practice (worth a minimum of £200 per person).

The training is a collaboration between Folkestone Fringe and Dr Giuseppe Maglione, Restorative Justice Clinic Director at the University of Kent.

Dr Giuseppe is a lecturer in Criminology Restorative, School of Social Policy, Sociology and Social Research and Justice Clinic Director of the University of Kent. More information here.
