Joint / Venturing combines poems and propositions displayed in pairs at selected sites. They create dialogue with each other, the host locations and those who pass by.

A collaboration between textile poet Petra Hilgers and sculpture-grower Jane Sarre, the work walks and discusses, loops back and questions, just as the artists did in Folkestone.

Themes of defence or safety and courageous vulnerability come to the fore, both personally and in town. The resulting texts stitch together attempts to digest the presence of the past and contribute new visions that address these needs in new ways.
