An exhibition of original prints and collages by printmaker Catherine Robinson, in collaboration with writer Claude who offers his reflections on the work. Come and visit the cranes on their annual migration between North Africa and the Arctic Circle as they fly across the walls of Specsavers!
There are also images of the perilous human migration journeys undertaken across the world.
Catherine Robinson is a printmaker living in Acrise, near Folkestone, where she has her own studio. She works with etching, drypoint, woodcut, linocut and collagraph, and collage using her own printed papers. Her work focuses on natural cycles of growth and decay, times of transition and change, and life’s uncharted journeys. As an inveterate people-watcher, Catherine is fascinated by the quirks and idiosyncrasies of her fellow humans and enjoys the challenge of capturing the essence of someone’s personality in a few lines.
