In a world of fast fashion and throw away culture, tattoos symbolise permanence and a reminder of absolute ownership over your own body, a powerful reminder of who you are, not flexing to the whims of 52 fashion seasons a year. a:dress has been collecting stories and images of tattoos from local women and embroidering and printing them onto a dress and coat.
Join us for the launch of our short film by Clare Unsworth, showcasing the enlightening, empowering and emotional tattoo stories. And view this beautiful creation 'on tour' in shop windows around town between July and October.
