This is a street meeting with artists and the diverse public, where we discuss and debate how art impacts both creatives and viewers alike.

#Workshop #Performance #Talk

Date: Saturday 04 October
Opening Times: 11.00 - 17.00

Location: Junction of Tontine Street and The Old High Street CT20 1RL

Rob Birch and Beth Hart are artists who believe in a social and political approach to art making and its dissemination. As creatives, they understand that art can be a force of change.

Folkestone Palaver meets Folkestone’s Dirty Art protest in a collaborative clash of ideas and experiences. This will take the form of an informal street meeting at the junction of The Old High Street and Tontine Street on 04/10/2025 from 10 AM to 5 PM.

It will allow the public to discuss what art means to them and how artists can engage with them to accurately reflect the issues and concerns of their day-to-day lives. In working and discussing these issues collaboratively, new strategies and ways in which art is made and consumed can begin to change the world. Bring your thoughts and feelings.
