Profound Sound is back in 2024, intimate and local with carefully curated British and international acts. Folkestone Fringe continues to co-curate a focused programme with Hot Salvation who, whilst celebrating their 10th anniversary, nurture a platform for emerging and developing artists and brilliant performers.

Together with Outlands Network, this year’s edition shines an audio spotlight into the dark nights of February solidifying Folkestone's dedication to experimental music; combining music, sound and performance with DIY - inspired workshops and installations. This festival experience comes as a package - 14 events across a handful of venues continuing to champion the under 23's go free initiative.

Hot Salvation 10th anniversary programme
2024 sees Hot Salvation turn ten years old. George Clift and Natalie Barker opened the first shop in Rendezvous Street, Folkestone in 2014. Though the couple and their family now live in West Yorkshire, and the company has moved into artist management, label project management and distribution, Folkestone is still core to the HS story. George now runs the company remotely with Folkestone resident Steven Tudor, together helping a whole roster of international labels and artists bring their music to market as well as happily continuing their creative work with the Folkestone Fringe to curate Profound Sound Festival.
